Reptile Cymru offers a rehoming and rescue service for those who can no longer look after their animals. We work with the local council, police, emergency services, and direct with pet owners who may have to give up their animals due to a change in circumstance. If you would like to talk to us about handing over a reptile or exotic animal, please drop us a message on Facebook, email, or call on 02920 190291.
Reptile Cymru is not a registered charity and we do not receive any support or funding from outside bodies for this service. All of the rescue fees, including staff wages, enclosures, heating bills, food costs and veterinary bills (sometimes extensive) are paid for directly by us.
To rehome one of the animals on this page please contact us or visit us in store to view and discuss. Our rehoming fee is a set fee of £50 for any animal which goes towards covering our costs. You will need to either purchase a setup from us, or have your own setup which you are willing to take photos of, so we can make sure that the animal is going into the correct environment.
We are open 7 days a week at Unit 10, Freemans Parc, Penarth Road, CF11 8EQ. Note that some of these animals may be housed or rehabilitating with staff, or may have recently been successfully rehomed, so please call ahead if you want to verify if an animal is still available.

Rose (Boa Constrictor)
Rose is our longest rescue, approaching two years of looking for a new home. She is an adult boa constrictor approximately 7 foot in length. She needs an experienced handler as she can be unpredictable. She needs someone confident who can safely use a hook to remove her from the enclosure and redirect her when necessary. She loves being on display and is not stressed in her tank by a busy environment.
Also known as: Spicy chunky noodle
Suitable for: Experienced Snake Owners
Minimum Tank Size: 6x2x2 but ideally larger
