They can be used 24 hours a day as they emit no light, meaning they do not affect the circadian rhythm of the reptiles in the enclosure. These bulbs offer the same heat output as other same wattage bulbs, but are half the height. This allows for more space for the reptile to bask and climb as well as a higher viewing area for you.
