About Reptile Cymru

Christy opened Reptile Cymru in March 2007 and the shop is now managed by Ben. We are a team who work hard to promote education and animal welfare. We believe in contributing to the community and working towards education and conservation, ensuring that reptiles & exotics will be available both in the wild, and in captivity, for the future generations.

We always sell captive bred animals where possible and the majority of our stock is bred by our staff guaranteeing healthy animals with known parentage and strong bloodlines. In store you can find over 100 enclosures of snakes and lizards, a wide range of equipment and vivariums, as well as quality frozen food and fresh livefood boxed up for you every single day.

Our staff are available 7 days a week to answer any questions you might have and we can help you even if you have no idea where to start. You can handle most of our animals in store although we do ask that if you’re under 16, you be accompanied by an adult.

We also offer several services in store that you might find helpful, including Holiday Boarding – so that you have peace of mind when you go away, Sexing of most exotic species & Nail Clipping.

It’s important to note that although our knowledgeable staff can can give general care advice, help with equipment and choosing an animal, we are not a replacement for a veterinarian. If you do find you have a medical problem we urge you to seek a veterinary consultation as soon as possible. Just like any pet – your animal can get sick or be injured in an accident and early diagnosis and treatment is the best course of action.
