We are no longer able to take animals on that are not healthy; unless they are coming in from an accredited organisation such as another rescue centre; the local police, veterinary centres or local councils. We frequently work with a number of organisations and will take on animals for treatment and rehabilitation through official channels.

We apologise for this, but we do not have the full quarantine or veterinary capabilities to treat animals; and in the last 5 years have frequently seen animals given to us rather than taken to a vet. We are not a charity and do not take donations or fundraise and therefore all treatment comes out of our own pocket.  We urge all animal owners to be responsible to their animals, to ensure that their temperatures and setups are correct, and to visit a local vet if a medical problem occurs. We are happy to give our opinion and advice but for medical assessment / treatment we would recommend you go to your local reptile specialist veterinarian.

We will rehome healthy animals when we have the space. Please call and ask if we have the space if you find you cannot look after a healthy reptile.

We will always take any animal that comes with it's own enclosure - the main reason we turn away healthy animals is that we do not always have spare enclosures; and all new animals must be housed seperately for assessment and quarantine. Therefore if your animal comes with a tank, we can house it and rehome it quickly.

We guarantee that any animal given to us for rehoming will be rehomed and not sold and that we will find the best home possible; ensuring the new owners have the correct setup and care.
